A Rundown of The Victoria’s Secret 2026 Runway: What Does It Say About Fashion Trends?

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has always been about more than lingerie, and the 2026 show was no different. This year’s show felt like a rejection of fashion’s obsession with restraint, with its seasonal segments moving from neon florals and playful Y2K references to sensual lace, icy glamour and mesmerising sparkle.

There were throwbacks to Victoria’s Secret’s most iconic years, a return of the Fantasy Bra, and enough embellishment to make minimalism feel like a distant memory.

Here are the moments that stood out, the models who brought them to life, and what this year’s runway might tell us about the trends coming next.

Spring Awakening: A Floral Neon Fantasy

Bella Hadid opened this year’s show in a floral-embellished bra, a bright lime-green mini skirt, matching heels and dramatic flower-covered wings. The first look always makes a statement, and Bella’s was clearly a message that this season was not going to play it safe.

The Spring Awakening segment leaned into everything associated with spring, but with more vividness and fantasy than ever before. Lime green and bright pink brought electricity, while florals appeared in more imaginative forms than simply prints. Wings resembled oversized flower petals, and we saw rose-covered coats and glittering accessories bring the drama.

Expect florals to move beyond ditsy prints and delicate details into vivid colour combinations and statement accessories.

Vintage Victoria: A Pastel Love Letter to the Archives

The explosive opening was soon contrasted with soft nostalgia in the Vintage Victoria segment. Pastel blues, pinks and lavender brought back the romantic side of the brand, with archival-inspired lingerie reinstating the aesthetic that made Victoria’s Secret such a recognisable part of fashion culture.

Even though the colours were noticeably gentler, the looks were still full of intricate embellishments, giving the lingerie an equally dreamy and glamorous quality.

Barbara Palvin was one of the most talked-about models of the evening. Returning to the runway six weeks after giving birth to her daughter, she wore a sheer pink look with crystal detailing and striking wings. Her appearance inevitably became part of the discussion about the expectations placed on women after childbirth. It led to a broader realisation that we can celebrate Barbara’s return without creating another standard for new mothers to measure themselves against.

The return to archival Victoria’s Secret styling reflects the appeal of fashion nostalgia, so we can expect a continuation of trends re-circling, as well as pastels and vintage looks being re-imagined in a bolder style.

Tate Mcrae’s Red-Hot Moment: Excess, Metallics & Y2K

Tate Mcrae’s entrance shifted the energy immediately, with the singer performing in a satin red corset, matching lingerie and garters, and finishing the look with sheer, shimmering red wings.

The wider segment was about much more than red, though. Bright purples, electric blues, pinks and yellows appeared alongside metallic finishes, creating a celebration of excess. The wings took on a different character, with tassel-like details and peacock-inspired shapes replacing the more literal floral designs of spring.

The PINK halftime show followed shortly after, nodding to the distinct early-2000s nostalgia that fashion has been obsessed with. Denim, velour tracksuits, faux fur, polka dots and sequins were all combined in playful looks. Outfits incorporated the resurgence of gemstones we’ve been seeing across social media, reminding us of when fashion used to be about fun, instead of being tied to minimalist aesthetics.

We can safely say fashion is making more room for experimentation, personality and fun, and Y2K nostalgia is here to stay.

Autumn Changes: Black Lace, Champagne Tones & Sensuality

The Autumn segment brought in classic gold, champagne, bronze, and nude tones and sensual black lace. Corsets, sheer satin, and shimmering details made this section feel more intimate without losing the theatricality that defined the rest of the show.

Despite being more classic, it was hardly minimalist. Nude shades were layered with sparkle, while gold and bronze created a warm, goddess vibe. Lace and sheer materials were incorporated to add texture and interest.

Alex Consani offered a particularly striking example of this direction in a black lace corset finished with golden feathered wings, which combined traditional sensuality with this new appreciation of drama.

The use of corsetry was super significant, as they have become increasingly visible in wider fashion, appearing as standalone tops and layered pieces. Victoria’s Secret recognised this while bringing corsetry back to its lingerie roots.

This segment reinforced black lace, satin, corsetry, champagne tones and gold accents as timeless and embraced lingerie as a source of inspiration for broader fashion.

Winter Reprise: Icy White & Glamour

Winter brought the show back towards cooler colours, with icy white and black-and-white combinations accentuated by glittering details.

The looks in this segment leaned into a frosty feel, with sheer fabrics and extravagant, traditional angel wings sparkling across the runway. Bella Hadid’s later appearance in a semi-sheer white slip with sweeping chiffon metallic silver wings was a strong example of this direction.

Crisp whites, silver accents, and sparkling textures are expected to add glamour to winter collections, and there was a nod to pearlescence taking centre stage in both winter fashion and beauty.

The Return of the Fantasy Bra & Kylie’s Surprise

For the first time since 2018, the show revived one of its most recognisable traditions, choosing Kylie Jenner for her runway debut in a design created in collaboration with Jacob & Co.

The bra was valued at $50 million and featured 4,410 natural diamonds surrounding a 75-carat yellow diamond. It was the most extravagant look of the show, with the main statement piece worn by a major figure in contemporary pop culture.

The Fantasy Bra captures the return of statement jewellery and crystal features, while showing that fashion is still about craftsmanship.

The Victoria’s Secret 2026 fashion show truly was a work of art. It reminded us that not every look needs to be effortless. Sometimes fashion can simply be fun, expressive and dramatic. Victoria’s Secret positioned itself as a champion for bringing back maximalism, glamour, and freedom, while keeping its legacy of femininity.
